Week-to-week sales at the nation's chain stores were unchanged in the October 13 week, according to ICSC-Goldman's tally whose year-on-year rate edged one tenth higher to plus 2.7 percent which is also the four-week average. The report notes that falling temperatures are keeping up traffic as shoppers hunt for seasonal goods. The report sees steady sales rates through October.
