Highlights
The positive impact from a drop in gasoline prices was offset by unseasonably warm weather to make for a flat week at the nation's chain stores. Same-store sales fell 0.7 percent in the October 20 week, offset by a two tenths rise in the year-on-year rate to plus 2.9 percent which is the best for ICSC-Goldman of the last four weeks. Redbook will post its weekly results later this morning at 11:55 a.m. ET.
