Highlights
Consumers may still be behind but they made a big dent in their Christmas shopping during the December 15 week. ICSC-Goldman's same-store sales index jumped a very sharp 4.3 percent in the week for a year-on-year plus 3.5 percent which is the best rate since the Black Friday week. ICSC-Goldman sees another "extremely busy" period for the ongoing December 22 week as procrastinators finish their shopping. Redbook will post its results later this morning at 8:55 a.m. ET.
