Highlights
The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort index fell in the July 22 week to minus 38.5 from minus 37.9 a week earlier.

The state of the national economy index improved to minus 71.9 from minus 72.8. The measure of whether consumers consider it a good time to buy dipped to minus 44.7 from minus 41.7 the week before. The index of personal finances actually improved to 1.2 from 0.7.

Definition
The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index is a weekly, random-sample survey tracking Americans' views on the condition of the U.S. economy, their personal finances and the buying climate. The survey was formerly sponsored by ABC News since 1985.  Why Investors Care
