Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index
Released On 8/24/2017 9:45:00 AM For wk8/20, 2017
PriorActual
Level51.2 52.8

Highlights
The consumer comfort index surged to a new expansion high in the August 20 week, up 1.6 points to 52.8. The strength suggests that this month's violence in Virginia and tensions with North Korea are not hurting consumer psychology. Consumer confidence ultimately hinges on strength in the labor market.
