Released On 10/5/2017 9:45:00 AM For wk10/1, 2017
PriorActual
Level51.6 49.9

Highlights
The consumer comfort index posted its sharpest drop in a year, falling 1.7 points in the October 1 week to what is still a very solid 49.9. Weakness is centered in personal finances in what contrasts very sharply with robust strength in similar readings in last week's consumer confidence report. Unlike the confidence index which has been holding at 16-year highs, the comfort index has been slipping from similar highs but is still only 3.4 points below its July peak.
