Economic news has been weak for the most part but not today's reports. Jobless claims are holding at rock bottom levels and hinting at a job-growth rebound for the April employment report. News from the Philly Fed points clearly at factory strength, especially a spike in delivery times that's pointing to congestion in the supply chain. Stocks were higher with the Dow posting a sharp 0.9 percent gain to 20,578 to more than reverse yesterday's 0.6 percent loss. Other markets were little changed.
