Extra long staple cotton consumed on the cotton system was 1.05 million pounds in June 2018, up 4 percent from May 2018 but down 5 percent from June 2017. June 2018 stocks on hand on the last Saturday of the month totaled 1.88 million pounds up 6 percent from May 2018 and up 8 percent from June 2017.

Total Manmade fiber consumed on the cotton system was 37.2 million pounds during June 2018, up 7 percent from May 2018 and up 21 percent from June 2017. Of the total manmade fiber consumed, 93 percent was polyester staple.

Total number of spindles on the cotton system was 1.30 million during June 2018. Active spindles consuming 100 percent cotton was 663 thousand in June 2018, down 4 percent from May 2018 and down 6 percent from June 2017.
