Highlights
Retail sales popped higher in the Jan. 13 week according to ICSC-UBS's tally which showed a strong 4.9 percent same-store year-on-year pace in the best showing since September. Week-to-week sales were unchanged. The report noted that January is a low volume month for sales, increasing the impact of even a slight improvement in demand. Redbook is up later this morning.
