Highlights
The April 7 retail week was boosted by Easter, with ICSC-UBS's index up 0.9 percent compared against the prior week. But signals are mixed! The report said the year-on-year pace of 4.0 percent, down 9 tenths from the prior week, pointed to slight moderation.

The report expects chain stores to report a 4 to 5 percent same-store sales rise in March, a month it said that benefited from this year's earlier Easter. Chain stores will report their data on Thursday followed Monday by the Commerce Department's retail trade report.
