RBC CASH Index
Definition
The RBC CASH (Consumer Attitudes and Spending by Household) Index is a monthly national survey of consumer attitudes on the current and future state of local economies, personal financial situations, savings, and confidence to make large investments. Highlights
April RBC CASH (Consumer Attitudes and Spending by Household) index dipped to 85.4 from 92.3 in March. The decline is consistent with increased gasoline prices and the continuing housing market correction. The index consists of four sub-indexes covering current conditions, expectations, investment and jobs. All four of the sub-indexes were down.
